Any RIM MVS & Avaya CM Deployments Out There????????? I need some info

Is there anyone or company who deployed RIM MVS integrated to Avaya CM? If so, do you have a mix bag of BB devices and carriers? What is your true opinion of the product in how it works and etc. Any pain points when implementing and deploying it?

Yes.  RIM MVS on an Avaya 8710 and 8400 systems.  Mix of BB devices but only one carrier.  To clarify though, some of our phones use WiFi and some use traditional cell towers for connectivity.  So, it makes a difference.

True opinion is that is is junk and use EC500 instead.  There are so many pain points.

You have to build your new MVS stations in a certain sequence or it won't work.

The Avaya phone will be broken until you complete the new station build

Enterprise activation needs to be done by a separate Team

Troubleshooting is a pain

Timing issues are horrific to figure out

Special scripts needed for Modular Messaging / Audix

The RIM tech. support guys are actually pretty sharp, only issue is they are working with a horrible solution.
