BBM not behaving and duplicates of Contacts and Calendar events

Hello,

 

Myself and a colleague have been experiencing strange behaviour after having our BB profiles moved from one BES to another (several times).

 

Our profiles started out on a BES 4.1 server, they were then moved to BES 5.0 and everything worked fine, they were then moved back to the BES 4.1 due to a DR event. Once the event was sorted they were moved back onto the BES 5.0.

 

After the final move we have noticed the following issues:

 

  • Unable to add new contacts on BBM, they stay stuck in a Pending (Waiting for Authorisation) state
  • When typing BBM messages and sending them, the text box no longer clears when you submit the message, it requires deleting of whatever you input manually
  • Contacts added to my personal Contacts in Outlook have been duplicated three times
  • Appointments in my Calendar have been duplicated three times
  • Stopped receving BBM audit reports, which go out every 12 hours 

 

Other than the above it seems to work as usual. Emails and events are forwarded fine, lookups on contacts works fine and can send/receive messages from exisiting BBM contacts without issue.

 

I've tried re-sending the service books, re-installing BBM, re-applying IT policy (we don't use any of the Default Policies) and re-activing the device. None of these have helped.

 

Has anyone got any ideas? I'm thinking that my user profile has somehow been duplicated on the BES 5.0 server but am not sure what to check.

 

Any help would be most appreciated.

When I run the IEMSTest.exe Util I get the below error in the middle of the trace:

 

*****: CDO test completed successfully

*****: No Send As permission for the {*****\besadmin} account operator.

 

Any clues?

was that run on an affected user or the BESAdmin account?

 

I think your issue might be too complex for a forum to fix., I would give support a call.
