BES and Alltel

Hello all

I am a Systems admin for my organization and have BES for Microsoft Exchange 2003 v.

Currently I have two Blackberries (one Curve and one WE) configured for the server and are functioning properly using US Cellular.

I have a Curve on the Alltell network and the email does not work wirelessly. However, everything works when synched with a USB on the server - the IT policy and enterprise activation are successful. But nothing over the wireless cell network seems to work.

I am just curious if my plan with Alltel needs to have some sort of different data plan in order for BES to work properly or what the deal might be.

Re: BES and Alltel

BES is not carrier dependant. you can use any carrier.

You must however have the enterprise data plan BES and not the prosumer BIS plan.

many times the carrier makes a mistake and give you the wrong data plan.
