Blackberry server trying to contact other SQL servers

We have just installed Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.1.6 and we are using Exchange 2007. The database is in SQL 2005. I get the following message on my other SQL 2005 servers daily:

DESCRIPTION:    Length specified in network packet payload did not match number of bytes read; the connection has been closed. Please contact the vendor of the client library. [CLIENT: IP address of our Blackberry server]

COMMENT:        (None)

JOB RUN:        (None)

Everything seems to be working okay on our Blackberry server. But I would like to know why it is trying to contact other SQL servers it should not care about. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Re: Blackberry server trying to contact other SQL servers

Do you have any clustering / replication / jobs setup between these sql servers?

Re: Blackberry server trying to contact other SQL servers

To be honest with you, I don't know. We have a separate group of people who administer the SQL servers. I am more of a server side administrator.

Re: Blackberry server trying to contact other SQL servers

I would ask them ... and ask them to look at the SQL logs while they're at it.

Re: Blackberry server trying to contact other SQL servers

Well the only reason I am aware of it is because they saw that message in the SQL logs. They are saying it is the Blackberry server since we just put it up this week. I can look through the logs myself, but is there anything particular I should be looking for.

Re: Blackberry server trying to contact other SQL servers

... just to see if there is anything more than this specific entry.

I've not seen this before (I've never looked for it either); trying to see what else is going on.  Having them go through the SQL logs would be able to see if there were anything else around that timestamp.
