Calendar Limit??

I use Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.1.6 for GroupWise to manage a few BlackBerry Curve 8330s.  Yesterday, it was brought to my attention that any non-repeating appointments put into the calendar farther than a year away will sync to GroupWise and then remove itself from the Curve.  I tested this and found that when the appointment gets within that one year, it will reappear on the BlackBerry.  Is there any way to turn this off so that it stays on the phone and syncs to GroupWise??  I can settle for changing it to two years if I can't turn it off completely.

I have had this complaint too. It is a now device, not a full email/PIM client.

No way to change it as far as I know, I guess that isn't enough huh? ;p
