Calendar synchonisation issues - Events copied from public folders

Hi all,

I have been having a few problems with BES (version and calendars in fact I had the same problem last year too.

Each year an admin assistant creates a set of office wide calendar events in a central calendar stored in a public folder (2009 Diary).

However when our 4 blackberry users copy these appointments into their own calendars, the appointments do not show up on their blackberry Pearls. Interestingly if they open their local calendar, open a copied event, edit it slightly and save it. The appointment then appears.

My conclusion is that this is something to do with the Exchange 2003 server (version 6.5 - Build 7638.2 service pack 2) and the BES server but im not sure why, I guess it is because the appoinment has been created on the public folder as the same administrator puts events in 2 of the users calendars directly without issue, but am at a loss as how to fix it.

This is by no means a show stopper but it is an irritant.

Any suggestions for a fix are welcome.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
