Controlling the maximum logging level on a device

Is it possible to control the maximum logging level a user can set the device to?  The reason I ask is because I have been trying to get logs from someone off a device and everytime they set the logging level to Debug Info and save, it gets reset to Information level.  Is it possible that there is a policy set somewhere that dictates what level the device can be set to?  Or might there be some other problem with the device that is preventing the logging level from being set to Debug info.

I don't like reviving two-year-old threads, but I'm having this problem too, on numerous physical devices (although my simulator, as well as a few of my devices, can set logging level to Debug Info just fine)

Anyone know what's going on?

It is a device setting not controlled by BES

I understand that. However the device setting doesn't work. As the original post states, if I selected "Debug Info" as my logging level in EventLogger Options, when I return to the Event Logger, it has been magically reset to "Information" instead.  I'm unable to get it to log at a Debug Info level.
