Just installed a new Microsoft SBS and now nothing works

I just replaced our old Small Business Server (which runs not only Active Directory but also Exchange 2003) with a new one and now our BES does not work. Of course, I forgot to remove the users from the BES before swapping out servers.

I followed the installation instructions for installing BES and created the admin account and applied all of the permissions.  When I try to activate the users (on the Blackberry, Tools, Options, Advanced, Enterprise Activation) nothing happens.

Any ideas on what to do?

How did you "replace" the server?

Are you using the same BlackBerry Configuration Database or did you create a new one?  What instructions did you follow to setup BES on SBS?

What version of BES are you using?

Re: Just installed a new Microsoft SBS and now nothing works

I actually replaced the old server with a new one.

As to the instructions that I followed, I created the besadmin account, made it a local administrator on the BES machine (it's the old one), did the local security policy things, gave the besadmin send, receive, and administer info store rights.

I'm using the same DB.  Should I create a new DB?  If so, how would I do that?

BES is version 4.1.6.

Created a new domain - didn't use a swing migration since the drives crashed and couldn't get anything off of them.  Just did a hardware swap.  So really it's a totally new setup even though the servers and domain are named the same thing.

Re: Just installed a new Microsoft SBS and now nothing works

You need to start from step 1.  Every device needs to be wiped / reactived and you need a new BlackBerry Configuration Database.  Anything that previously existed is not usable.
