Push don't work since 10-20

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I've got a problem with BES since 20th October. The messages aren't pushed to my devices.

I've got this problem on two different BES servers.

I upgrade BES (for Exchange 2007) to 4.1.6 MR1 (BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version:  4.1.6.13) but that don't solve my problem.

The server is running, the connector and the router are connected.

In the Application log event, there no special event.

And no Forwarded or Sent Messages....

Is there any relation with a Microsoft Update ? Any know issue to solve that ?

Thank for helping

In the task manager, can you double check if blackberryagent.exe is running?

If not, then restart the BlackBerry Controller and BlackBerry Dispatcher service.  Also, check your logs if you see any MAPI errors?

Re: Push don't work since 10-20

I check my services and both Controller and Dispatcher are running.

In the MAGT log, I found a "calling MAPI error" :

MAPI call failed. Error 'Echec de l'opération du client.', LowLevelError 2147500037, Component 'Banque d'informations de Microsoft Exchange', Context 1281

In the same log, I found that (at the beginning of file) :

[30000] (10/19 00:00:02.652):{0x1814} [ENV] MAPI32.DLL: C:\WINDOWS\system32\MAPI32.dll, Version: 1.0.2536.0 [30000] (10/19 00:00:04.589):{0x1814} [ENV] CDO.DLL: C:\Program Files\Fichiers communs\system\MSMAPI\1036\\cdo.dll, Version: 6.5.7974.0 [30000] (10/19 00:00:04.589):{0x1814} [ENV] Failed to read 001e6602 reg value from the BlackBerry MAPI profile.

For information : I work with Exchange 2007, installed on a other server than the BES one.

Try rebuilding the MAPI profile BES uses:

KB10285 - How to re-create the BlackBerry Enterprise Server MAPI profile

No you shouldn't have to restart the devices.

If you'd like, zip up a set of the days logs and email it to BBAndyDufresne@gmail.com. Please also make sure to include a link to this thread so I know what the message is referencing / where to respond.

I'll post back any relevant content removing anything personally identifiable / confidential.  Something else is going on.

Re: Push don't work since 10-20

Sorry for the delay in responding; I didn't notice you had sent me logs.

This is a possible cause to the problem you're having ...

KB15207 - BlackBerry Controller missing heartbeats for the BlackBerry Messaging Agent until the Blac...

However the BES cannot communicate with Exchange. Can you restart the BES and send a new set of logs 1 hour after the restart?

I just restart BES. I send the logs in one hour.

Thank so much for your help

I would take a backup of the server and reinstall BES on the server, using the same settings used previously.

That said, try going to the Utility directory in the BlackBerry Enterprise Server directory (at the command prompt) and try running IEMSTEST and use BlackBerryServer as the profile to connect with.

Pick a BES user in the list and report back the data.
