Re: Seeing errors in event log on server.....

Can you apply the latest MR for SP4?  or perhaps upgrade to SP6 MR2?

Re: Seeing errors in event log on server.....

MR??  What will the upgrade do for us?  Where are the files?  I thought maybe the BB manager would have a 'update' or 'check for update' functionality, but I don't see it in there......

Re: Seeing errors in event log on server.....

MR = Maintenance Release

SP = Service Pack

Re: Seeing errors in event log on server.....

So, currently I guess we're on 4.1.4.  I can apply the 4.1.6 service pack, and then the 2 maintenance releases on top of that.......

Based on the log files, any ideas if that will help?

Yes, either 4.1 SP4 MR2 or higher should resolve this issue. ... looks to be this: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14066

Re: Seeing errors in event log on server.....

When I'm trying to install the 4.1.6 update, its asking me to install a 'instant messanging connector'.  The 'none' is not a option, but we're not using any of the options listed.

If I choose one to get past that point, is that going to cause a problem down the road???

Re: Seeing errors in event log on server.....

If you don't plan on using any IM connectivity, no, not at all.  If you do plan, then I would select the most likely candidate.  That said, you shouldn't be forced to select one unless you've previously had one selected in a past install.

Re: Seeing errors in event log on server.....

Is there somewhere I can find out what the current connector is, if one is installed??

Re: Seeing errors in event log on server.....

If we have the BES server that allows 1 free user, if I upgrade to the latest SP (4.1.6) will that change the licensing?
