Sendmail and MS Exchange

Hi, we are running a spam firewall and sendmail as our main email server which has about 120 email accounts. Only 25 of them need to use BES. Is it possible to setup a MS Exchange server with accounts only for these 25 users and have the sendmail server forward emails to the MS Exchange to get BES working? Anybody knows how to do that?

Re: Sendmail and MS Exchange

Hello Wings,

There is no documentation from Research In Motion on this subject.

A quick search in google with keywords "Sendmail and Exchange" revleaved the following.

HOWTO: Route SMTP traffic from Sendmail to Exchange

I hope this information is useful.

Re: Sendmail and MS Exchange

Yes, this works.

Simply have sendmail forward a copy of or simply just forward it and don't keep a copy of all mail to Exchange.

If you're going to setup Exchange for 25 people though ... you might as well at the other 95 and only manage a single mail system.

The fact that you're asking if this is possible makes me think it probably isn't something you'd want to take on on your own however.
