BB Professional Software stopped and won't restart after server reboot

Let me start by clearly stating that I am not an IT guy.  Actually I'm the owner of a small business that is reluctantly hanging on to my Blackberry as my employees have all gone to iPhones.  Well, I'm catching a ton of grief because my BB is no longer receiveing emails or synching my contacts or calendar.  We had to reboot our server the other day and ever since when I look at the Prefessional Software home page is says that the staus is "stopped".  When I look under the connections tab it also says "stopeed".  I clicked on start service on both the home page and connections tab and it hangs in a "starting" mode for several minutes and then goes back to "stopped".  Please don't make me depart from my BB - I would never live it down......
