When installing the BPS on our SBS 2003 server I have a problem where it seems to skip a section (i.e installing the SQL database). At this point it hangs for a few minutes and then asks me to verify the data.
I have tried uninstall - reinstall without avail.

-download a new copy of MSDE release A and install it.
-modify the setup.ini before running setup
Extract the file to the default folder location.
Open the setup.ini file with a text editor.
Add the line SAPWD='password'. Where password is the password you want to specifiy for the sa account.
Save the setup.ini file.
Run the Setup.exe file.
Restart the computer. (or start the MSSQLSERVER service)
and then run setup of BPS.
-then make sure MSSQLSERVER is running after the setup and run BPS install

I am running into a similar problem installing BPS. I just want to clarify something from this post about setting the SA password before I try this solution. Which account is the SA account - will it be the BESAdmin account that will be accessing the database?
