For some reason our users are complaining their BB's are not syncing properly with their Outlook. As the subject title says deleting from outlook doesn't delete from the handset, but works the other way.
We use BES Express and all the handset are set to auto reconcile with delete on Mailbox & handheld enabled.
I've tried resending the service books and HRT but didn't make any difference.
anyone got any ideas what could be causing this.

i had this issue recently too, since configuring O/E we hadnt properly restarted our handsets. So take the battery out of your handsets, wait a minute or so, re-enter it and see what happens. After that, im stuck ! Lol, hope that helps

You might want to move this thread to the BES boards:
More BES admins hang out there than here in the primarily consumer end user forums. If you want it moved, just say so...otherwise, mark it solved (pick any post) and then open a new thread in the BES area.

This will explain a lot about reconcile and hard deletes
KB04863 - Permanent deletion of email messages in Microsoft Outlook does not reconcile to the BlackB...
link in above KB in case you missed it
KB04853 - How to enable hard deletes on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server
I have also changed the messages state size to 1000 and it cured 99% of our issues.
The performance hit and RAM increase is almost nil on the BES box.
On Device also double check:
Make sure that Wireless Reconcile is set to On. Sometimes toggling that to off, saving it, then turning it back on.
Messages Options - Email reconciliation -
Delete on Mailbox and handheld,
wireless reconcile = Yes
On conflicts = Mailbox wins.
If still not working and you moved a user mailbox.
Is the user over quota?
