We have BES express version 22.214.171.124 which has started giving error 26043 [SYNC-DSession] Responded INVALID_SYNC_STATE to the device and terminated session. [username:51, SID=949425431, CLID=8451, ECLID=355]
Essentially if I wipe a device and then resync with BES express everything works apart from historical email does not show. In the past doing this would load some previous email to the Blackberry but now the user only gets email going forward.
We did have event ID 373
IDS_25000 getListBESdatabases: COM Error 0x80004005 - Unspecified error - Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server - Description [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied. - Command: getListBESdatabases
This was found to be caused by the TCP/IP protocol in SQL server manager was active but not enabled for out local IP, not sure how this got switched off but once enabled the 373 error went away.

I have removed my account from BES and re-added and still no email has been pre populated. I have set the pre population setting under email component to pre populate 30day and 300 messages
This was working and no windows updates have been applied to the BESx server or exchange server.

I bet you didnt wait for the exchange info to be removed or forgot to. It takes time to remove a user unless you force it.
If using the same PIN upon activation look at this KB, you should do this anyways.
