Event ID 376 server’s performance severely degrades/hangs

BES Express - 5.0.4

Exchange 2003 sp2

Windows 2003 R2 sp2


Exchange and BES are installed on separate servers.


Every day at about 11.50 am the following warning is displayed and the server’s performance severely degrades for about 10 minutes.


Event ID: 376

The description for Event ID ( 376 ) in Source ( Blackberry Notification System ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: IDS_25000 getListBESdatabases: COM Error 0x80004005 - Unspecified error - Source: Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 10.0 - Description Unable to complete login process due to delay in opening server connection - Command: getListBESdatabases.


I have noticed that the SQL server process is running at about 80 - 90%.


Any ideas why this is happening?
