Internet Service to Professional Software

Hi,

A client of mine currently has around 15 devices running the plain old Internet service even though they have an Exchange 2003 server.

I'm trying to get them to upgrade to Professional Software but my question is this, Can we simply re-register the devices with the server software without loss of data? And will the network (Vodafone UK) allow such a move?

Thanks.

Re: Internet Service to Professional Software

The users will need their data plan to be changed to have a BlackBerry Enterprise data plan, but their data will not be lost.

Personally, since you're going to have to touch each device, I would take this opportunity to:

1) Backup the devices

2) Upgrade the HH OS

3) Activate them on the server

4) Restore any data

You give the users clean slates, upgraded os's and less effort later.
