Everything was step by step made like in preinstallation tasks guide ..

Database config files was changed to server configuration (SQL Instance, databasename,usernames, passwords)

----

CreateDB.exe BDSMgmtEAS.cfg

CreateDB.exe BDSMgmtBAS.cfg

----

execute that commands create database but when tables (tables..sql)creation started ... i recieved error :

Re: Migrate from BES Express 5.0.4 -> BES 10.0.0a Trial - COM Error 0x80040E14

Hi There,

Installing the BDS on a machine already hosting BES Express isn't a supported configuration I'm afriad. Please see http://docs.blackberry.com/en/admin/deliverables/48992/BlackBerry_Device_Service_6.2_Installation_an... for details:

You must install the BlackBerry Device Service on a computer that does not already host a BlackBerry Enterprise Server
instance or BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express instance.

Also, I'm not aware of any native method to transport a user from an older BES to BDS. the Transporter tool used for migrating users between different BES domains does not support BDS.

Hope this helps.

Scenatio like that was tested ... BES Express was uninstalled, BESMgmt database was removed from SQL Server, but error when BDS 10 is installing was still the same, I thnik that is problem with database creation scripts ... some tables in new database was created (that i suppose that wasnt problem with premissions) ...

Re: Migrate from BES Express 5.0.4 -> BES 10.0.0a Trial - COM Error 0x80040E14

Problem solved.

SQL Server Settings :

Allow remote connections : Checked

Server AUTH : SQL Server and Windows AUTH mode

SQL Server Protocols :

TCP : Enable

Named pipes : Enable

in tcp settings assign sql connection to ip

IP1:

active :  Yes

enabled: Yes

ip address : 192.168.X.X <- fill correct to your sql server ip

Please check 'sa' user login is enabled and has correct password

In configuration files : BDSMgmtEAS.cfg and BDSMgmtBAS.cfg set :

SERVER=192.168.X.X\SQLEXPRESS <- correct IP and SQL instance name

USERID=sa
PASSWORD=CorrectPassword

I must disable Windows Firewall when database was generated ...

after that commands :

CreateDB BDSMgmtEAS.cfg

CreateDB BDSMgmtBAS.cfg

was finished correctly.
