SBS Swing Migration 2003 - 2011

We are going to be migrating our SBS 2003 running Exchange and BESx 5.0.1 with SQL 2005 to SBS 2011 running exchange.  We have 4 BB users, 1 is remote. I am looking for some suggestions for options for migrating the BESX as well.  We do have a capable server we have the option of moving BESx to prior to the SBS migration which would have Windows Server 2008.  If we went with that option we would just leave the BESx on that server.  I am guessing that is probably our best option, but if anyone has ever successfully migrated from SBS2003 to SBS2011 along with BESx on the same server, it would be great to get some insight.

We are in the preliminary planning and testing stages now, so any suggested documentation you can point me to I would appreciate the assistance.

Re: SBS Swing Migration 2003 - 2011

For the SBS migration there is a walkthough here...

regarding the BES I would build up a new BES (or BESX) server and use the transporter tool to migrate the accounts accross...

hope this helps!

Re: SBS Swing Migration 2003 - 2011

does a swing migration make a new exchange org?

If yes then transporter wont work and you have to wipe the devices and activate on a new BES.
