new email doesn't show in the Blackberry device

I just added a new user in the manager console and assigned a new device using the cradle connection. I was able to see all the emails/address after the activation and first synchronization, however, after disconnecting the unit from the cradle, I was unable to see any new emails in the Blackberry phone. The strange part is I can feel the vibration from the device when there is new email in his inbox (we use Exchange 2003). I tried deleting the user account and recreating from the manager console and it didn't help. Can someone advice what the problem might be?

Thanks

Perhaps ... KB05403 - Cannot find new email messages on the BlackBerry smartphone
