9860 issue or server?

Hi,

We bought a bunch of BB 9860 (version 7) for some of the staffs to use. We are using BB server (V5.0.3.31) and exchange 2010 server.

Every couple of time, random BB 9860 users will complained they're not recieving emails. They had to hard reset their phone a couple of time before they start recieving emails. Sometimes, their wireless is turned off automatically. Other staff on BB bold 9000 are not experiencing any problem.

Could someone advice if this is related to server or BB 9860 issue or the OS version?

Re: 9860 issue or server?

Hi,

Sorry, scrap the above.

This is the correct version for most of the BB 9860.

7.0 Bundle 2395 (v7.0.0.579, Platform 5.0.0.735)

Re: 9860 issue or server?

I dont have an issue with that OS version

Can you look at your MAGT logs when the issue does happen

default location :\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerryEnterprise Server\Logs

Also look in event veiwer to seef if any errors or warnings pertain to your issue

Please post back the log info minus personal info

to isolate an affected user on a static messaging agent , then look for the MAGT log for that agent (while trying to send/receive messages). The format you'll be looking for is:

BESName_MAGT_##_yyyymmdd_####.txt

Where the first pair of digits are the Agent ID you set.

Re: 9860 issue or server?

Hi Knotty,

Seems like this has something to do with the OS. We have currently upgraded some of the staff's BB into the latest version and it's not happening anymore.

Most of the BBs are in version is 7.0.0 Bundle 2395, upgraded to 7.1 as provided by Telstra.
