BES 10.1.2 installation : "IIS cannot be installed on non windows 2008 servers"

Hi,

Trying to setup BES 10.1.2 and following exactly the Installation guide (http://docs.blackberry.com/en/admin/deliverables/55537/BES10_v10.1.2_Installation_Guide_en.pdf)

Installation stops during the "installation" step with an error message "An error occurred during... For more info, check the logfile"

The last lines of the logfile shows this :

<#03>[30000] (08/29 14:52:58.860):{0xF28} Step RunInstall failed
<#01>[10000] (08/29 14:52:58.860):{0xF28} [IISComp::Install]: IIS cannot be installed on non windows 2008 servers
====== END OF LOG ======

Funny thing, the server is a windows 2008 server, SP2...

IIS 7 can be installed by setting up the Web Server role, but during the precheck install, IIS is reported as not installed, so the BES installation will install it... giving again the same error.

Has anyone experienced this kind of error ? Is there way to bypass IIS installation ?

Many thanks !

I see it supported but I would use 2008 R2 if possible.
