BES 5.0 & SNMP

Hi, we've recently moved to BES 5.0.1 with all the service packs on Win2008 64bit.

We used to monitor it using Solarwinds WMI counters, these appear to have gone now with SNMP being the only external monitoring solution. Which should be no problem.

We have configured the SNMP windows service with a Read Only community string and set to accept packets from any host. When running a MIB walk i'm expecting to see 1.3.6.1.4.1.3530.6.... but get nothing in that tree whilst the server returns all the other windows MIBS.

What am i missing?!

Page 54 of this doc mentions how to manually add the snmp registry keys for bes, http://docs.blackberry.com/en/admin/deliverables/7461/BlackBerry_Enterprise_Server-5.0-US.pdf. All that looks ok, albeit in the Wow6432Node folder in the registry as its 64bit.

Any ideas?!

Thanks

Dean

Re: BES 5.0 & SNMP

There were some errors in the MIB provided with 5.0. A new one has been created. If you contact BlackBerry support, they will be happy to provide it to you. If you do contact them, you may want to mention DT 537475.
