BES10 + Z10 + Exchange 2003

Dear all,

i kindly ask you for any advices.

Last few years we were lucky BES5 users, with more than 500 devices on board.

Last week we installed an BES10 on different server, to test Z10/Q10 devices, due to high demand from users.

Due to very secure environment, BES5 and BES10 installations are comparable. Servers are intalled in normal network, where AD and Exchange 2003 is installed, and without any chance for direct connection to internet. That's why in special DMZ we have Blackberry Router installed. So, all our BB traffic is going thru this bb router. Both BES 5 & 10 using same router (version 5). Currently we don't have any plans for iPhones or Android.

BES10 licences were activated using offline files method, because no direct connection to BB infrastructure is possible. So server have licences.

BES 10 is installed on Win 2008 R2 64bit Server, in VMWare en.

In Blackberry Device Service 10 we created an email profile - active sync, server name, no ssl, push enabled, and all synchronizations Yes.

Then, we add user, set a password (two times, - first with info that password cannot be registered within BB infrastructure, and second OK). Then we make an enterprise activation from device (Z10,, it's ok, then device asking for a password for e-mail account - it's also OK.

Then strange things happens.

It looks, that E-mails are syncronized only when outlook is running on my machine. Same with calendar. No sycnronization is done while outlook is closed. More over, sometime meetings appear in device calendar, than, few minutes later it again fully empty!!!

Contacts are partially sync even without outlook, but only half of them. Then, while using scroll function with letters on rights side in contacts app - some new contacts appears...

So from device point of view - everything looks good, but data is not updated, so device is useless.

In outlook we use PST, so mailbox itself is clean and not overloaded.

We made no changes in exchange or in AD...

BES10 working using same account as bes5, all local settings like logon as service and etc done.

What should we do now, to receive stable service?
