Back up BES Version: 5.0.3.31

We are using BES Version: 5.0.3.31 with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.

Just want to confirm the files & DBs that need to be backed up regularly to ensure we have the latest data and pertinent files fully backed up.

Please advise.

Thank You and Kind Regards

Philip

I also like to keep a hard copy of SRP and CAL keys.

From command-line, you can do the following:

bcp "select LicenseKey from BESMgmt.dbo.LicenseKeys where type = 0" queryout c:\licensekeys.txt -c -T -R -E -Sdbservername

That will export all installed license keys to the text file specified in the command. Just be sure to change dbservername to your SQL/MSDE server. This needs to be run from a server/machine that has bcp.exe installed, though (installed by default with SQL and MSDE installations).

Go to BAS, Servers and components, BB domain, Component view, BES, click on server name, then copy paste teh SRP info to a text file.

Re: Back up BES Version: 5.0.3.31

Also make note of the Servername used during the install if different to the actual server itself.

So if the physical server name changes if you had to re-install and recover everything you would need to use this original name.
