BlackBerry Migration

Hi All,

Legacy Infra : WIndows 2008 R2 / Exchange 2010 / BlackBerry Enterprises Server

New Infra : WIndows 2008 R2 / Exchange 2010 / BlackBerry Enterprises Server

We are moving the user & mailbox to the new exchange organization , since BlackBerry Transport tool does not support migraing the BB user from old domain to new domain we need to wipe & create activation password to get activated.

Recently we encountered the issue : after creating the user without wiping & activation password , the user get the mail ?

How this is possible?

when you move the mailbox, it contains info of the account and some times it will add the user to BES and work.

I have seen this with SBS migrations to new hardware. I am guessing the encryption keys were never changed allowing it to happen.

The issue is with SA account in SQL that prevents Exchange Org moves with transporter.
