Bold 9930 & S/MIME Problems

Having a strange problem with one of our 9930's and S/MIME email. We are fully patched on BES 5.0, with our 9930's running the latest OS. S/MIME is enabled and we are using the CAC for signing/encrypting emails on the handhelds. My handheld works great, and will open signed only emails without my CAC like it should. One of the users however, when attempting to open a signed only email, it asks for his CAC, every time. If you try to skip entering the PIN, the Blackberry opens the message but displays that it needs more data. I have compared every setting side by side with mine and his handhelds and they are the same, both of us are running the same IT policy. Has anyone encountered this before?
