We are testing device activations on BES 5.0 before we put it in production and have had some issues. Our main issue is when activating a device that had calendar appts soley on the device, they do not reconcile or merge into the Desktop/Exchange calendar.
Obviously we are using exchange on the email end and all appts created in the exchange acct and the device sync perfectly. We have previously checked the MAPI and CDO and that is not an issue. We also updated to MR2 (which broke things and had to be fixed). We would like to be able to do the reconciliation because we have people that use a BB (all 8330s) that never synced to Outlook through Desktop Mgr.
On a side note, we have not seen any options for the Calendar where you can do conflict resolution or state policy's like do not put in past appts or anything deleted. We have seen comparable options in the email component in BES for new devices.
As a last resort, we then tried to sync by turning off the wireless sync on the Device Calendar, deleting the Calendar Service book and then syncing through the desktop manager. This failed as the Desktop mgr did not see the Device Calendar appts.
Any ideas or fixes?
