Re: Emails going to Desktop folder and deleting from main email server

Thanks for this. I think this must have been set up by my IT support when I first got the BB and they thought I might want to synchronise between Outlook and BB.

If I go to Options > Device > Advanced System Settings > Enterprise activation, It gives my BB PIN at the top, then Activated accounts which says 'Desktop' underneath it and date of 14 Mar 2014, then in a further section, Account Activation, which says, To activate your enterprise account, enter details provided by your system administrator in the fields below. Email:______   Activation Password: ________ etc.

Sorry to be so ignorant. Is there a simple way I can completely remove the BES?

Re: Emails going to Desktop folder and deleting from main email server

wiping will remove it unless you have BlackBerry Balance

BES does not sync to device to outlook. It will sync device to the mail server. end result is similar but not they way it works.

Will 'wiping' the BB wipe all other email accounts and conacts etc.? And if i backup everything and restore after wiping, will it end up restoring BES?

you will need to do a full backup as all will be lost. BES wont be backed up but you can do a selective restore and once signed on to BBID, your email account with it will come back
