@stentofun Did you ever get this figured out?  I'm pulling my hair out, stuck at the same place.  I've been googling the problem for hours, and this post is the closest I've come to someone having the exact same problem.  I've tried and checked everything I've read so far, and no luck.

Nevermind. I cancelled the install, then launched it again, and it continued from where I left off, and magically it worked. Puzzled, but glad it worked!

Yep, pretty much it.

 

I rebooted, and launched the installer, and then it worked fine.

 

I think there's something in it though; During the installation phase there is a point where it calls for Reboot, but this step was bypassed in my install.  Perhaps the reboot was required.
