Firewall issue?

Hi

I have connected a Z10 to a PC and launched Blackberry Web Destop Manager

It sees the device and I enter the password but am then faced with:

---------------------------

Proxy Configuration Failure

---------------------------

A device communications failure has been detected.  This is likely because of a firewall blocking communications from the device.

Please detach the device until the problem has been corrected.  Contact your administrator for assistance.

---------------------------

OK

---------------------------

Looks straightforward enough and I have allowed Wireless Portable Devices but the issue remains

Anyone know which program I should be allowing (I would allow all as a test but we are locked down with Group Policy)

Thanks

Hello shaptoni,

Please verify within your internal firewall and local workstation and server, that the following ports are open for communication:

TCP 8444 - Enterprise Management Configuration port

Used by Enterprise Management Web Services to communicate between the BlackBerry Device Service and the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet for delivery of device management tasks.

TCP 8081 - Enrollment Configuration port

Used by the RIMHttpProxy service on the local computer to establish a connection with the BlackBerry PlayBook Administration Service during device enrollment.

For more information please refer to the following article:

BlackBerry PlayBook enrollment fails with the error "The BlackBerry Web Desktop Manager is unable to complete this action. Please contact your administrator for more informationhttp://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB29251

Let us know if this helps.
