GroupWise Support?

I was disappointed to see that GroupWise is not supported. I know it sometimes comes later, but is there going to be a version in the future?

Groupwise is always last, Wish RIM would let GW people know.

If I understand correctly, Fusion is a add-on to the BES product that enhances the manageability of ActiveSync connected devices. Unless Novell has added ActiveSync support to GroupWise I don't see how Fusion can help you.

Novell has added ActiveSync support with the DataSync product. BES for Groupwise does not meet the minimum requirements for Mobile Fusion.

Well wouldnt you be able to use Fushion\BlackBerry Device Services through the DataSync product? The way I understand it BDS doesnt talk directly to a specific mail server, it just relays active sync, so no matter what exact server hosts the mailbox, just as long as it talks active sync.

That may work but it might be limited.  I pulled this from the BDS document:


You can use BlackBerry Mobile Fusion Studio to manage one or more of the following MDM domains:
• BlackBerry Device Service 6.0 or later
• BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP3 or later
• BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express 5.0 SP3 or later
BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0.3 MR5 or later is required to send PIN messages, resend IT policies, and access the
BlackBerry Administration Service user detail page from BlackBerry Mobile Fusion Studio. BlackBerry Enterprise Server
5.0.3 MR6 or later is required to clear activation passwords. The BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express does not allow you
to perform these actions.


I wonder if it would work well just being connected through BDS 6.0.
