Need Help - Installation Woes

I am installing BES and am stuck at the beginning of the second phase, specifically the Database Information step.  Please provide some direction as to where I go to start resolving this problem.

SQL SVR is on this machine expressly for BES, notthing else uses it and we installed it outside the installation tool, stand alone, as BESadmin.

 SQL SVR tools can see the db, and manipulate it as BESadmin.

  • Windows 2008 domain
  • O/S = Server 2003 SP3 (non exchange, non domain controller, part of the domain)
  • Exchange is remote, this is the only thing on this server
  • SQL SERVER 2005 EXPRESS SP3 is installed and functiioning
  • USER BESadmin is in the domain
  • USER BESadmin is actually owns the db installtion on this server
  • Time Server has been turned on, and time is now synched with the domain controllers

Re: Need Help - Installation Woes

Finally figured out my problem, here was the fix;

  • Go to Start > Microsoft SQL Server 2005 > Configuration Tools > SQL Server Configuration Manager > SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration.
  • Select the Microsoft SQL server instance that houses the BlackBerry Configuration Database.
  • Right click on Named Pipes and select Enable.
  • Right click on TCP/IP and select Enable.
  • If you enabled a protocol in step c, restart the Microsoft SQL Services.
