Re: Problem creating a new user

The BES server will scan the GAL once a day and copy all the BB enabled users to the BESMgmt, if the user is not found during the search click on the 'refresh available user list from company directory' link which is found under the search results.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Hmm,

To help provide some documentation behind this design refer to Page 7 of the following PDF:

Update the contact list manually

You can update the contact list in the BlackBerry® Configuration Database so that you can include any organizational changes

or updates in the contact list. The amount of time that the BlackBerry Mail Store Service requires to update the contact list

depends on the contact list size.

1. In the BlackBerry Administration Service, on the
Servers and components menu, expand BlackBerry solution topology

> BlackBerry Domain > Component view.2. Click

Email.

3. Click Refresh available user list from company directory

Re: Problem creating a new user

Hello,

I am new to BES 5.0 and have a very strange problem -

I cannot see the option to "Refresh available user list from company directory" when I go to component view -> Email on the Admin Sevice website.

I cannot find any solutions. I have rebooted the server, Updated it to MR4 but cannot see this option.

Any Ideas?
