Not sure if this is just something BlackBerry has overlooked with UDS, or if it's there and just hidden really well, but can you push "web clips" to users via UDS?
For example, with the iPhone Configuration Utility, you can create a Web Clip profile that pushes shortcut icons to web sites to the device. For example, we used to use a web clip for iPad users that would launch Outlook Web App and take them to the login page automatically. It's basically nothing more than a profile that contains one or more shortcuts to internal or external websites.
It seems that UDS does not have the ability to handle this particular iOS policy type. The Application Definitions in UDS seem to only work if you are either a) pointing to an internally developed .apk or .ipa file, or b) an App Store URL. There doesn't seem to be a way to do something as simple as pushing a shortcut to a web page. If it does have the ability to do this, it's pretty well hidden.
Anyone have any ideas?
