Q10 - Unable to reply or forward emails

Two users have Q10s and are unable to reply to or foward emails.

Both Q10s are at version 10.1.0.4633 activated on a BES 10.1, using ActiveSync.

There is one Z10 on the same server and has no issues. The Z10 is at version 10.1.0.1720

Batterie has been removed, email account deleted and reconfigured, and the problem persists.

Anyone have any idea?

Re: Q10 - Unable to reply or forward emails

Have the user look their Settings > Accounts > bottom of screen to > Set Defaults and in the Defaults screen, is the email account set as the default?

Re: Q10 - Unable to reply or forward emails

Just checked the Defaults screen, the user's account is indeed set as default.

Could this have anything to do with the version of the OS on the device? A Z10 on the same BES server isn't having any issues. The two devices which are having problems are Q10s.

Thanks for your help!

Re: Q10 - Unable to reply or forward emails

I used the same OS releases and had no issues with replying or forwarding, however not on a BES.

do you use SSL for EAS? the newer versions wont work unless you use SSL with proper certs

Re: Q10 - Unable to reply or forward emails

The only SSL certs we have are the self signed ones that the installation generates.

I got my hands on a Z10. I configured the device with the user's account. Strangely enough, it worked fine with the Z10, through the same BES server.

I had the user remove his email account on the Q10, reconfigured with Active Sync directly, bypassing the BES server. This solved the problem, he can now reply and forward emails without a problem.

At least I'm narrowing down the source of the problem. But it's still strange to me that the same account configured on a Z10, through our BES, works fine.
