Question RE BES Server and CAL Licensing

My organization has two BES 4.1 servers within the org. We will be consolidating domains and move to just one BES.

Domain2.com will be consilidated into Domain1.com.

My question is can I upgrade to the 5.x softwear or do I have to stay with the 4.1, current version.

Also, can I move the CALs from Domain2 to Domain1, which will host email for Domain1 and Domain2 , or will I be required to purchase new licensing for CALs?

Re: Question RE BES Server and CAL Licensing

you can upgrade to 5.0 for a small fee of about 999.00 US dollars.

You own the CALs, you can put them all on one BES.

Since BES 5.0 is so different, I would set it up all on its own and once tested and running, use transporter to move users over which will not require any activation.
