Remote Wipe Blackberry Q10

I have my presidents phone that may be lost or stolen.  We have initiated a remote lock & password change.

 

Is  there anyway a thief can overcome this by keeping the phone disconnected from the network?  Also is there any way natively on the phone that it can be tracked through the BES?

If they have turned off the network then there's nothing you can do. Once connected to the network, though it will be wiped.

If the password wasn't enabled on the device prior to you sending the lock signal then they would have full access until the lock signal was received. If they were smart enough to turn off the network then they would have full access until turning it on again.

Hi,

 

That is what I believed.  We have a corporate policy that there must be a password on the device so it is likely that no one has access there were just concerns that I wanted to verify.

there is no BES tracking on BES 10 yet that I am aware of.

 

Users if using Balance can use BlackBerry protect to locate it if they set it up
