Setting up a new 5.0 server, question about user licenses

We are currently running a 4.1.X.X server, and are about to start a new 5.0.X installation on different hardware. My plan of attack is to get the new server set up, and move over a few users at a time to make sure there aren't any hiccups. My question is, how will the user licenses work? Will they transfer over when I use the User Migration tool? If we have a 100 user license now, can that be used on the 5.0 server?

Re: Setting up a new 5.0 server, question about user licenses

User CAL's can be transfered from 4.1 to 5.0 and can be ran at the same time while migrating.

When installing 5.0 you will be prompted to enter the BES CAL key.

They will be used once the user has been migrated using the Transporter tool.

The SRP ID and Auth key is a different story though.

Re: Setting up a new 5.0 server, question about user licenses

Only issue that may pop up is if you had any free 4.x BPS or Express CALs, they dont transfer over and require a call to support.

If you bought them all you should have no issue.

If on T support get a migration kit so you can run both at the same time.
