UDS Cert

I am a little confused on the whole SSL Cert that needs to be setup. Does the server that is running the UDS need to be accesable outside of the internal network, say like MS Exchange Outlook Webaccess? If so then I take it would also need to be setup as NAT? Any help would be aprreciated!!

Thanks in advance!!

Re: UDS Cert

Hi sbarnett,

the UDS server must be accessable from outside. I am not quite sure if also "only internal" will work. But this would not make any sense for the mobility.

So your UDS Server must be reachable from outside.

You have to set up an external DNS entry and forward this to your UDS server.

Most important is... the Certificates.

If you use a self signed certificate the DNS entry you make must be the same as the requested certificate. If you use a self signed certificate you have to install the certificate+root certificate from the CA (on IOS devices) manualy on the device.
