Unified View for Work and Personal Accounts and Messages not working

Hello,

 

We are running BES 10.1.1.20 and our Z10's are on 10.1.0.2050 on the TELUS network.

 

We have the 'Unified View for Work and Personal Accounts and Messages' option in our IT Policy set to Disallow.

 

This is the tool tip for the policy:

 

Specify whether the BlackBerry Hub displays work and personal accounts and More... messages together in a single view. If you set this rule to Disallow, the device must display work accounts and messages in a separate view from personal accounts and messages in the BlackBerry Hub.

This rule applies only to BlackBerry devices with a version later than 10.1.0

If you do not set this rule, a default value of "Allow (default)" will be used

 

However emails from both Personal and Work accounts are still showing up in the hub.

 

I've tried toggling the option from Disallow to Allow and back to Disallow and pushing the IT Policy out to the devices, battery pulls and the 5 swipes to restart the hub, all to no avail.

 

Has anyone gotten this policy to work?

Hello jolsonpb,

Thank you for your question regarding Unified View for Work and Personal Accounts and Messages.

 

I ran though some tests with that exact bundle on the Telus network and I was able to get it to work with no issues. Can you confirm on the device that the new IT Policy is making it to the device?

 

If you go to Settings -> About -> change the tab to Work Space and note the time is this the new policy?

Got the same problem:

 

Policy 'Unified View for Work and Personal Accounts and Messages' set to disallow, but no separation of work email and private stuff.

 

Server: BES 10.1.1

Software Release: 10.1.0.2309

OS Version: 10.1.0.2342

Carrier: Vodafone NL (The Nnetherlands)

I see there havent been any updates for a few months. I just did a fresh install today of 10.1.2 and the same issue. Tried on my existing device and test environmetn and same issue.

First one was a device that was never on a BES. Second one is my device attached to my test BES. I just changed the setting in the existing policy. Under About and Work space the policy change applied. I then created a new IT Policy with only this setting applied. Waited for the device to get it, and still nothing. Both personal and work email show up in both work space and personal space. Maybe I am interpreting this setting wrong.
