As I understand it, I can upgrade my BES 5.0.4 server to BES 10.1, but will need to keep v.5 to manage pre-OS10 BlackBerrys. If I upgrade, don't I lose entitlement to version 5?

I'm trying to determine if it will indeed be "free" to upgrade to 10.1. I understand I can upgrade CALs individually, so I can have OS10 and pre-OS10 devices, but I haven't seen the issue of the server software discussed. I'm guessing the same SRP cannot exist on the old and new BES.

Re: Upgrade-coexistence?

BES10.1 SERVER is for free, you will not pay for a license. So just grab the 60 day trial from here: www.bes10.com
It has a SRP ID which will not expire.
