Upgrade from BES v4.0.1.12 [ Domino ]

[ Edited ]

Hello,

We are presently running BES v4.0.1.12 and looking to upgrade to v5. Will it be a straight upgrade or is there more involved ?.

Thanks.

Re: Upgrade from BES v4.0.1.12

There is more involved, you need to be on Service Pack 7 first.

are you going for full BES or BES 5 Express?

for express

for full BES

Since BES 5.0 is so different, I would set it up all on its own and once tested and running, use transporter to move users over which will not require any activation

Here is most of the documentation you need will to install and administer the BB 5.0 server:

Thanks for the quick reply.

We are upgrading to BES. We actually have Lotus Domino so will be installing this version of the product.

Well most of that info still pertains that I posted.

Do you have T support?

Re: Upgrade from BES v4.0.1.12

With T support you can get a migration kit which will allow you to use a NEW SRP and make you old one invalid after 90 days.

This make it easier to upgrade as you can get teh new one working and then use transporter to move users over after.
