akku = Battery

have you tried to remove workspace and add it back in again?

Can you explain how to do that as I'm not much into these things?
I'm planning to send it to warranty service!

Thanks

Re: Z10 10.2 Update (over) heat akku and disable enterprise mails in balanced mode

Stuck on this issue also.  Our office uses Lotus Notes and currently leverages Traveler 9.  When the workspace is added, the device over heats (not necessarily the battery) and the charge lasts a couple hours.

Trying removing and adding the account several times, no luck.

Also did a secure wipe and reloaded the latest OS 10.2.1803.  With the new, clean device, then added the work account and again it overheated and power drained.

As a workaround, now forward all office email to a personal account (Google) then access my work account for sending using the browser.  Not very elegant, but it works.  Need my calendar and contacts.

Help!

might be best to contact BlackBerry support so they can get yoru logs to figure out this issue.

also can try to move contacts and calendar items to a new folder, then move them back in case its a corrupt item causing excessive sync. Happens on exchange often enough

Re: Z10 10.2 Update (over) heat akku and disable enterprise mails in balanced mode

Still waiting for them to "tweet" me back.  A very convoluted "Contact Us" for BB. Good to know about sending them your log files - thanks.

Very strange that I had a corrupted mail file that 10.1 was able to handle or ignore. Then I upgrade to 10.2 and it uncovers an issue (corrupted data) in my mail file?

Will be trying each thing step by step and then report back our (fingers crossed) success.

Step 1 is to try and isolate an issue with my mail file and fix it.

Re: Z10 10.2 Update (over) heat akku and disable enterprise mails in balanced mode

After many weeks and trial and error, I was able to resolve this issue.

Here is what I did:

Exported all my contacts from my Lotus Personal Address Book (PAB.nsf) and imported them into gmail.

My Lotus account is running an active mail file, calendar and contacts with zero records

Asked our admin to activate my work account and presto, account was activated and there was no looping sync/hanging or over-heating.

One or more of my contacts must have been corrupted in some form or another, creating a headache for the Lotus Traveler. What was strange was that I was able to import them into Google and there were no issues syncing to the device by that route.  Now all my contacts are "in the cloud", so that was one benefit of this head-banging exercise.

What would have been nice is if the device could have told me which contact or record was creating the issue and why, so I could have updated that record. Guessing there were some funky characters or fields that it did not like.

I hope this helps if you are having the same problem.
