mailbox move from 2010 child domain to Exchange 2013 in root domain

Hi everyone,

I have an Exchange 2010 server in my child domain (child.rootdomain.local) and just finished installing Exchange 2013 in the root domain (same forest, same Exchange org). I moved a test mailbox, but that did not allow BB services to continue to work.

The BBsvc account has organization wide permissions, and i added permissions to the databases as well. As the user account moved is still in the child domain, send-as permissions are also still valid.

Any hints on how to get this working? Is it even supported to have BB look at multiple servers in different domains although they belong to the same Exchange org (and forest? )

since 2013 uses RPC and not MAPI, you have to install a second BES for the migration.
