Re: "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device"
We see this on the BB handset where an email is attached to another email (using Outlook 2010/Exchange 2003)
Other attachment types open fine (docx etc)
msg is listed as a supported extension on BES
But using MFC MAPI to view individual message content on Exchange, the attachment table only shows "Untitled Attachment" for file name of the attached email (i.e. no file extension)
I'm guessing the lack of file extension is the problem here?
Anybody got a fix or workaround for this?

save the file and add the extension to it in windows.
is this happening to all attachments or just a select few?

This is normal behaviour. Outlook messages that are attachments (of type .msg) cannot be viewed.
But.... when you view the message, the attachment is automatically displayed at the end, starting with
----- Embedded Message ------
So you can view it without opening the attachment.

Thankyou - this is exactly the same behaviour we noticed this morning.
The "red herring" error message is bizarre - people call in because they think there's a problem.
Maybe they fixed it with OS 10?
