EN is showing that you have English enabled as your chosen Input Language.

 

Look at Options > Language and see that English is selected as your language.

I know what the symbols stand for, and all settings appear correct, they just keep popping up.  I backed up my data, did a wipe, and re did my back up, and all seems aok......i hope!

I was using the stock Zen theme with Today as homepage.  Since backing up and wiping the phone, all is aok again....somewhere there must have been a glitch going on.  Thanks for all the support!   Man Surprised
