1XEV goes to 1xev

This happens sometimes every two or three days, sometimes twice in a day. It's completely random. Is this caused by reception problems, or is MetroPCS' network just that crappy?

Re: 1XEV goes to 1xev

Have you checked with the carrier to make sure the areas you go to are in their coverage area? If you had them for a long time did the problem just start happening with the BlackBerry?

Re: 1XEV goes to 1xev

I checked the coverage map online before I bought my Berry. This is my first MetroPCS phone. Would updating my PRL help?

Thank you.

I will once I figure out how to do it. Yeah, I'm hopeless.

Thanks again.

Re: 1XEV goes to 1xev

Try dialing *228 then I think you hit option 2. But just listen to the prompts after dialing *228 and one of them will be to update the phone or something like that. If that doesn't work you can call Metro and see if their procedure is any different.

Thanks. I'll try that once I'm away from my house with its crappy reception.
