3G, 2G, EDGE

I want to swich from 3G to 2G because of coverage issues, I am able to do this but the data indicator swiches to EDGE.  What impact will this have on my data, email etc?

its a slower connection speed so means downloading apps for example or browsing will be slower...but try it anyway it should be ok for normal everyday use. I think the only time you will really notice it is when downloading attachments or apps.

Thats good news, I work in an area where 3g coverage is poor and I have had reports of people not able to get thru to me at times.  On my old (non smart) phone I cured this by using 2G only, hey presto, every call came thru.  If the only effect this will have on my BlackBerry will be slightly slower web and email I will do this.
