.3gp in Email Attachments

I have a 8330.  I received and email with a video attachment in .3gp format and I cannot open, save or view it.  Is this normal or should I be doing something I'm not?

Thanks for any help.....

John

Re: .3gp in Email Attachments

Well, my post says that the file .3gp can be read with a blackberry. Unfortunately, there is some inconsistency in the Blackberry Curve user interface :
  • if you click in your Browser on a .3gp file, you can watch it or download it.
  • if you click in your Media Browser on a .3gp file (that is on your SDcard for example), you can watch it.
  • if you have a message with a .3gp attached, you can't to anything.

I think you can try forwarding the email to another email address, and access it with a webmail (like GMail).

Can you save the attachement and then move it to the media card?

Re: .3gp in Email Attachments

On the Blackberry Curve, you can't store message attachments. On other Blackberries, I don't know (yet).
So the only way I found was to forward it to a mail address with a webmail, and download it through the Browser.
